Home Remodel in McLean VA

The clients lived in an older home in McLean, VA and desired to remodel it in a thoughtful way. This meant they wanted to reuse/recycle where we could. We were able to restore the black and white marble floors in the entry. Replaced cracked tiles with new.

You’ll see the client’s like grey-blue. We made the decision to use various shades in all rooms of the house.

Gives it a rather New England look, which is where they are originally from.

Carefully gutted the old kitchen, donated the cabinets to Habitat for Humanity.

The new floors throught the home are reclaimed heart pine wood.

Ceiling beams were added for architectural interest.

A beautiful and Luxurious paneled Master Bedroom.

The owners wanted a feminine -masculine bedroom, that took in all colors of their landscape.

What a dramatic bathroom! We tinged the blue paint with a touch of green since it’s surrounded by trees.

It does pull in a few tones from the master bedroom.

Extra large shower, and the encased stand alone tub with a grey granite ledge, matches the vanity top.

For the home office the clients wanted it to have some femine touches to bring warmth to the room, as both use it.

They like to be close to each other, so we placed the sofa behind the desk.

Yeh, there is plenty of space to move the chair back!

Great for a short nap, or reading a book/using a tablet, while the other is working.

Everyone is happy with how this remodel turned out – especially with the miles of millwork and moldings we used.
